Pentagon admits $2.3 Trillion missing and Rumsfeld calls it a matter of "life and death."

On September 10, 2001 then Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld went before Congress and admitted that he could not account for $2.3 TRILLION dollars in Pentagon spending. At the time, that amount of money was nearly half of our entire national debt, both government and personal. The next day, the very part of the Pentagon where the auditors were working and the records were kept, was destroyed in the attack. To this day, the money has never been accounted for.
