ok im doing an essay abouthow the death penalty goes against the 8th amendment, and i need to know a current event that makes the death penalty cruel and unusual

It is not cruel and unusual. People for some reason over the years have really become soft and really stretch when talking about what our founding fathers meant.



The death penalty has always been meant as a deterrent. And in 1776, drawing and quartering was considered constitutional.

The cruel aspect is that the sentence is not applied swiftly.
