The name on this outrageous food plan is:
Food Safety Modernization Act 2009 (bill HR 875).

The House and Senate WILL pass this if the politicians are not massively threatened with loss of their position....they only fear your voice and your vote.

You may not be into organic products, but if this bill passes it could lead to the ultimate end of natural, uncontaminated produce in this country. It would also mean the end of alternative forms of organic health products that are derived from non-poisoned herbs, foods etc. and that are becoming more and more popular because they work.

No, there's not. I say it because I've read the bill. It will impose certain safety regulations on people who wish to sell their privately-grown crops. That's it. If you own your own garden, and give tomatoes to friends, then you won't be affected. If you sell your crop to Whole Foods, then there'll be some red tape.

It has nothing to do with backyard gardners, only organic gardners who sell products at the markets. Its to protect the public and if u read the whole bill u will see its not as bad as many make it out to be. Remember not all "natural" products are safe. Belladona is a natural product, so is poppies used in heroin etc.

I just read this bill, and it doesn't do any of the things you claim it will. Someone's been lying to you. It doesn't outlaw organic farming or anything close to it.
