Who is more powerful, the president or congress? Explain.

I believe that congress has more power, so the president just acts as a scape goat for congress' bad decisions.

Who do you think has more pull, the House or Senate and why?

The constitution was written very carefully so as to give equal powers to the executive, legislative and judicial branches.

All three are extremely important. None are more powerful than the others. It's a system of checks and balances that has yet to be improved upon.

They have different powers in different areas. That's why it's called the separation of powers.

The House and Senate have fairly equal pull. A Senator will have more pull, generally, than a Representative, if for no other reason that he's a member of a smaller group, and serves three times as long.

The framers of the constitution gave more power to the congress than the president.

The Senate because bills have to go through them before going on to the president for approval or veto. However, the presidents power is greatly enhanced when his party is in the majority making it much easier for him to get his agenda passed.
