How do you feel about GOV subsidies for things like farms, businesses and pet projects?

One expensive investment is ALT energy -- the money require to set up - plus the higher price of the product EXCEEDS the value ot the product

Is green Energy Co$t effective - after gov subsidies are incl?

NO -- often it is not effective.

EXAMPLE::::
AN electric car takes hours to charge (electricity costs money) and you get to drive about 30 miles -- then it takes hours to charge it again

TO buy a hybrid car cost around $30,000 to $40,000 and you may save a few miles per gallon

SOLAR COST: Based on the lowest current panel prices of $7 a watt, you would be looking at an initial cost of about $77000.

THIS ALT ENERGY IS NOT CHEAP AT ALL

WIND POWER:
That means a 10 kilowatt machine (the size needed to power an average home) might cost $35,000-$50,000 to set up.

Just a word on the Solar Prices. I know that often the installed cost of Solar Electric is $3 to $5 per watt. Coupled with tax credits and rebates, the cost of electricity over the life of the system is often around $.06 per kwh. This is much lower than most people are paying today. Check your electric bill to compare.

We sell and install Commercial and Residential Solar systems at my business, and most of the people that buy are doing so as a solid financial investment with a Guaranteed ROI.

What many people don't realize is that it's not just alternative energy and alternative transportation that is subsidized. Fossil fuel is subsidized, too. In fact, fossil fuel gets about six times the subsidies that clean energy gets - see article:

*

Sadly, we live in a world where everything is subsidized - all forms of transportation, airports, railroads, public transportation, petroleum, all live on government subsidies. So no form of new energy or new transportation can compete without getting subsidies, too.

*

The best solution is for all the subsidies to stop. In such a world, gasoline (which gets about $400 billion in annual government subsidies worldwide) would be several dollars per gallon more expensive - and alternative cars would compete much better on this level playing field.

Conservative Democrats, Republicans, Libertairians and Independents believe in utilising all potential techniques. no matter if that's wind out East, image voltaic contained in the Southwest, oil, coal, fossil fuels or nuclear, useful human beings do not income from the narrowed and expensive concepts placed forth via not consumer-friendly-left Democrats. those versatile potential concepts were proposed via Republicans the day before right this moment, besides the undeniable fact that it replaced into partisanship that received out over reason. enable's desire the Senate is extra open-minded and in contact with maximum those who're open to all potential concepts see you later as they depending in u.s. and supportive to the communities that provide them.

Nothing is cheaper than coal and nuclear. If you want a "green" car, put pressure on the EPA to approve more diesel cars.
