Question:
How can Obama take credit for "saving the auto industry" when GM (Government Motors) is headed for bankruptcy?

Please libs, actually read the link and try to "debunk" Forbes as an unworthy source.

And how is it Ford is doing so well without the great Obama's help?

What you DON'T KNOW because Radical Left Wing Extremist Barack Obama didn't tell you is that the only reason GM is showing a profit (falsely) is the HUGE ten year tax break they were given. You didn't hear about that. To be truthful, you have to figure that into the so-called bailout. That almost exactly DOUBLES the bailout amount and it looks like they might not make it anyhow. The only bigger fiasco was the "Cash For Clunkers." Barack Obama is an idiot.

GM has billions in cash and is still making money even if the stock is down. Right now GM is paying $4.00 a share and the federal government owns 500,000,000 shares. All of that goes to pay off the loan. The eventual payoff may take a bit longer unless the stock shoots up in price to a break even point for the federal government. Meanwhile a considerable portion of the loan has already been paid back.

You hear this kind of stuff from the right wing radio dummies who only give you the part that makes Barack look bad....they don't give you the entire story. Forbes cites worst case....that the stock will be worthless and GM will close it's doors.....that's doubtful. Meanwhile GM is selling cars and making money. It's slowly making its payments on the loan and paying the government dividends. At some point enough cash will go back to the treasury where the stock can be sold, even at a loss to make up the entire amount of the bail out. Meanwhile a million workers are making a living, paying taxes and not being an additional drag on the economy. Overall this is working and over time the downside risk grows less and less. Forbes could be right, but there are dozens of other just as smart folks that say the opposite. The sky is not falling!

Since it cost GM over $100 K to make the Volt and the Government forced YOU and your Grandchildren to pay for their production and since they can't be sold. Obama's eco crap is a demonstrated failure.

Obama spoke the truth when he said we will have cars that get Double the mileage of those we were buying before he took office. They will be three times the price and they won't be battery powered.

GM is surviving, thanks to your tax dollars.

Progress is being made, but at what cost?

We need to move forward at a Logical pace by doing the job Right.

Since when has the government Ever done the job Right?

Free enterprise is what gets the job done.

The definition of happiness is "being content fabric with one's self." It doesn't count how some distance up the ladder-of-existence we've climbed, extremely its how we taken care of others as we make the complicated climb to the appropriate.
