Grants? I don't think there are any. You may be able to get assistance through one of your state offices. Check the internet for your state office. Usually www.utah.gov for example. Substitute your state for utah obviously.

did this leave you paralized? contact your local unemployment office and see if they have any job postings you could do. my brother broke his back in 3 places about a year and a half ago thank God he was not paralized but he does stay in pain, because he has 2 small children to support he went back to his job 5 months after his accident he is an under ground coal miner i swear its no joke can you imagine the pain he endures every day so he can support his family i'm really proud of him for putting his family first but i worry alot because this is a very hard job even for someone who hasn't been injured

File for unemployment, they will give you a check each month for a few months until your better and able to work again!
