The government puts out TONS of reports, and some of them may actually be interesting. My suggestion would be for you to visit this U.S. Department of State website which has links to actual U.S. government reports released over the last few years:

There are a bunch that aren't classified, but few have enough public interest for wide release. Baker-Hamilton commission was another.
