Why president of india is delaying appeal of Parliament attacked militants , is it not a impotent matter?
1) hear with i like to raise a question why this kind of appeals are not processed with priority basis , i think so many this kind of appeals are pending at the president of india & what is the reason for not proceeding the matter in a fast manner ?
2) if the president of india is not interested this kind of the issues then when will be the other common issues will get sort out?
3) why media & opposition parties are not pressuring the issue at the ruling government & the president of india ?
4) if this kind of issues are not processing at the president of india office with a fast track ,then it is no surprise the common issues & public appeals/ issues at the lower end of the government offices not functioning properly
5) i think politics is involved to resolve this matter

please express hear your objections, clarifications, critics , suggestions

i agree your views 100%.all points raised by you are very logical and near reality.the delay in such type of petition makes one thing very much clear to me that in our country politicians are very narrow minded and there is only a single point agenda with them -how to save their vote bank and nothing else.country may go to hell no matter but there vote bank should remain intact.we can not expect politics to such a low level in our country that even the matters pertaining to the defence of india and its people are kept aside just for the sake of dirty politics.if such petition are to be kept aside,i strongly feel the system of president's mercy petition be scrapped and the indian courts should have final say as far matters of country's overall interest are concerned so that at-least those matters may be kept out of the ambit of dirty politics.

I am going to answer your questions one by one:-

1. Appeals like this have a different priority basis for the common people and others for the politicians in power. Afzal Guru offers an election issue that can be milked again and again.

2. The President of India has nominal powers in a parliamentary set up that India is. All appeals are executed in the President's name but are actually decided on by the Parliament and the President jointly along with advice from the cabinet of Ministers. Besides, our current president, Pratibha Patil is a useless one.

3. The main opposition party BJP is pressurising the government, but the government hasn't acted on it. The media follows current affairs only, and where it is concerned, this issue is old and has faded from the public memory.

4. There is a difference between the resolution of common legal problems and appeals of this kind. The judiciary handles the common ones, but it is hell of a lot overworked, and anyway, it is slow and inefficient. The President looks at appeals for pardon on her own prerogative, but for that, we need a proactive president, which we do not have, as she was chosen because she is a woman, and not because of her political talent.

5. You are absolutely right; politics is invloved because the Congress, which has a considerable support from the Muslim vote bank, feels it will lose the Muslim vote if Guru is executed.

I suggest we forget what some small group of people will supposedly say and get rid pf Guru. In an interview to a newspaper, he has actually said that he was tired and wanted to be executed.

The repeat attacks in Delhi Ahmedabad Bangaluru Mumbai etc etc are the fall out of this weakness of the GOI to address sincerely to counter terror activity..

If they had doubts about the verdict of the apex court, they could have opted for the review by the Full bench.. No. They have no good reasons except what you have all said here - the illusory vote bank.. I dont think the average law abiding muslim brothers are any way near such fanatic few who shout hoarse about any action on the terorists..

Did not the Home Minister call for restraint by the Bangladesh free lancer in exile, while all the time keeping quite about the inflamatory talks of the Tamilnadu CM against Hindu beliefs, or the provocative paintings of Hussein.. He never cared to call for restraint in these cases.. The duplicity explains the diffidence of the govt to ACT fairly in every case - including those involving even security of the nation..

What will the present President do.. Is it not the cabinet that has to forward the advice to her..? And the president was just a party woman and no big leader with any outstanding record of public service.. A political appointee would not be proactive enough to push the govt to act..!

Add:

Secular Hindu, for your point why people voted the congress to power.. Dear bror., they didnt vote any bloody group in the fray, to rule the nation but wished all fit to sit in the opposition and mourn, as you seem to forget..!!

Just a few of the conflicting groups got together to form a govt of convenience to enjoy power.. that is all.. The grand political acumen to lay down ideologies and reason to sit in the throne..!! People have to choose from the aspirants with their respective records of performance and potentials (to govern reasonably well..).. That no one got a clear majority shows how people are confused and undecided as to who should rule.. !!

There is much plus and minus on all sides.. The perception of + and - varies among people (would you call it vote bank of castes or Faiths or ideologies or whatever..) and hence their elections even to this level.. If people start opting for the independents totally, showing their distrust of the parties in the fray, then it would be altogether a different confusion..!!?

You are worried about the convicts already sentenced under the laws of the land.. OK.. it is a privilege to pray for amnesty..

But dear perverted humanist, don't you care for the innocents who lost their lives for no crime.. while their perpetrators have not yet been brought to book? And the same govt apathy to save similar lives from the hands of repeat strikers is posing a greater hazard for the civilians?

And still you are worried about the right of the person whose potentials to blow up a parliament has been confirmed.. !! Are you blessed with a heart of stone..?

for impotent people, nothing is important.

1) priyanka ghandy is yet to congratulate the p. attacker, like she did to her father-assasin

2)president is yet to protect whole of her kith and kin from financial muddle

3)media is non-Hindu and anti-India as they are owned and trained to hear masters' voices; opposition in India is only a branch of the ruling party.

4)fast tracks only lead to swiss-bank

5)politics, like history is about the misdeeds of rulers, thats why Hindians do no have one.
